glass body lift?

When installing a fiberglass body on a jeep CJ - is there a 1"-2" body lift
kit available? Who makes it? I've just found the rubber mounts and the poly
body mounts I have say there can only be used on metal bodies.

Re: glass body lift?

The rubber mounts are ok for 'glass. It's the poly ones that are too
hard as far as I know.

The 'glass body already sits an inch or more taller than a steel body,
adding a lift to it would be nasty for flex, they are already really
twisty.

Re: glass body lift?

And why didn't I know this before i put the 1" alluminum lift on last
months, so what is it going to do to my fiberglass body? The 4 main mounts
under the doors are fine as they have a 5" x 24" or so 1/4" plate running
along attatched to tub, front one is still a metal front end, so ok there,
but there are those others that are now fiberglass on alluminum.

Re: glass body lift?

You used aluminum pucks?

Holy crap!

I think those would punch through a steel tub, let alone a glass one...
