Re: gear ration
My 86 with the T5 tranny has 3.31's, but I also have the Dana 44 rear if
that makes any difference. Mike 86/00 CJ7 Laredo, 33x9.5 BFG Muds, 'glass nose to tail in '00 88 Cherokee 235 BFG AT's MUDLUVR wrote: > > Does anyone have an idea of what the gear ratio is for a stock amc 20 out of > an 86 CJ7? |

I think you can look on the front end if it's a Dana 30 and try to find the tag that gives the axle ratio, but if all else fails then do this: http://www.jeeptech.com/AxleGeneral.html#ratio That jeeptech.com seems to be a GREAT reference! -- Travis http://jeepadventures.dyndns.org/jeep.html The meek shall inherit the earth. Re: gear ration
Yes I do have the dana 30 in the front, it did have the 258 motor, currently
it has a 350 in it. I was trying to avoid having to remove the diff cover and do the math, but that seems to be the safest. Thanks for the help.
