Foglight/high beam bypass
Hey all. Has anyone figured out how to bypass the foglight shutoff when
you turn the high beams on? This is on an '04 Rubicon. I did it on my '98 Sport, but all kinds of things are different on this one. Thanks, Jay |
Re: Foglight/high beam bypass
Hi Jay,
It's still the fog lamp relay inside the main power distribution fuse box, which is on the passenger side of the engine under the hood. The relay is clearly marked on a diagram on the inside cover of the main fuse box. Pull the relay straight up and out of the socket. Carefully and slowly bend the #1 pin (it's marked) 180 degrees around to the side of the plastic relay, so it will not make contact with it's female socket when the relay is re-inserted. Re: Foglight/high beam bypass
Maybe this will help? I did it on my '03 Sahara and it should work for
the '04 versions too. <http://www.getahelmet.com/tech/fogrelay.htm> Jay wrote: > Hey all. Has anyone figured out how to bypass the foglight shutoff when > you turn the high beams on? Re: Foglight/high beam bypass
Pardon my ignorance, but I am wondering what the point is. Why in the heck
is it so popular to modify the circuit so that you can run high beams and fog lamps simultaneously? Do you not have fog where you live?
