Is that what you call it ? Learn something new every day.
I'd also heard about the newspaper trick - never tried it though.

Hi Dave,
Or just plain denatured alcohol. Here the windshield wipers melt to the
glass, and alcohol is much easier to use than a razor blade.

Yep, I think it's to discourage people from actually thinking
it is drinkable. :/ Given some of the people I've ran into
they would probably parse that as mentholated.. ooo, minty! :]
(not that it would be much of a loss though)

Newspaper doesn't leave the lint that paper towel does and it's
strong enough to scrape the bugs off.

Re: Foggy Windshield/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/

Lots of good suggestions there. I assume Bon Ami doesn't have the
grit in it that other powdery cleaners do. Sounds like it might be an
issue of the clenliness, too. We do wash the car at the manual wash
and the wax is a spayer and even though you only spray painted
surfaces, everything gets a coating of it. I like the newspaper idea,
too. Never would of thought of that one. Is there a difference
between metholated spirits and rubbing or denatured alcohol?

Luckily we've had a cold snap thru here the last couple days so the
humidity dropped like a rock and no issues in the morning as
everything is bone dry. But that ends Sunday so I'll try to get this
done before next week. We also are kayaking over the weekend and I
know for sure when we put the kayaks on the roof rack every kind of
muck and salt debris known to man plops down on the windshield.

Thanks for the info!!!!
