floor jacks

Went to Harbor Freight (Sacramento) Saturday. The catalog lists a "long
frame" 2.5 ton floor jack w/max lift of 31" for $159.00. It was on sale @
harborfreight.com for $139.00 & it was on "in store" sale for
$99.00............I told them to dig out 2 of them for me then went to look
around to see what else they had. My wife came up to me & said "if those 2
large boxes by the front counter are for you - I don't think they will fit
in the jeep." I told her that we will just flip up the back seat & there
will be plenty of room..................she was right. She then said that
instead of spending all of the money that I do on tools, I should just buy a
new Tahoe for her & I wouldn't need the tools...............I had to give
her the "surely you jest, blank, glassy eyed stare" (words would have gotten
me into much more trouble). I am still in a state of shock,
though................She called me @ work today & asked if I wanted her to
drive to Sacramento & pick up the floor jacks with her
Explorer.......................................... ...........Even more
shocking is the fact that she stopped @ "The Gap" on the way
back...........................& didn't buy anything! Imagine
that............

I second that notion! When my wife does something humane like that or goes
out "Her" way to do something for me that I wouldn't expect. My mind then
begins to ponder all the possibilites what I'm in store for in the near
future.

She did say something about a new Tahoe..............But, My TJ gets lifted
one way or the other before any major purchases. Maybe she is still happy
because we bought the house.
