Fan Clutch

Do fan clutch's go bad? And how can you check to see if it has or not?

Re: Fan Clutch

Yes they go bad. They 'really' don't like mud...

The easy way to test them is to heat up the engine fully and have
someone shut it down while you watch. A good fan clutch will stop
almost instantly. If it keeps on spinning it is toast.
