Does anyone know....
 
will a torqueflite 999 or 727 bolt directly to a small block ford
engine.....I have heard from only one person that it can, I am doing some
research on this for my jeep...any help or info would be greatly
appreciated...

You may build a small Chevrolet for your transmissions:
http://www.advanceadapters.com/catalog/t22.html The small block Ford is
eight inches longer than the Chevy, which screws up many conversions,
also the C-6 is so must stronger, that most would steer you away from
another automatic combination.

You may build a small Chevrolet for your transmissions:
http://www.advanceadapters.com/catalog/t22.html The small block Ford is
eight inches longer than the Chevy, which screws up many conversions,
also the C-6 is so must stronger, that most would steer you away from
another automatic combination.

this chart shows the engine blocks to be no more then two inches different
in lenth
