Difference between a "service bulletin" and a true recall...
I went to www.alldata.com to see if there was any information on a recall
for the a/c evaporator in a 2000 Jeep Wrangler. It listed several service bulletins, including one for an a/c leak and one for an "Evaporative System - Leak & DTC Diagnostics" but no recall info. Would this qualify as a recall or does service bulletin mean they are informing you to bring it in and pay for the service? |

A TSB tells the dealership and mechanic how to best deal with the issue.
They are under no obligation to perform the service for free, unless you are covered by warranty. E.
