Detroit TrueTrac LSD Installation Advice
 

Hey All,

I am looking into buying a Detroit TrueTrac LSD for my Dana 30. I
plan on installing it myself.. is this hard to do? Are special tools
required? I haven't found too much info on this, so any advice or
experience would be appreciated.

Go with the "lunch box" lockers, they slip in place of your
spiders, so you won't need to buy the thousands of dollars worth of
micrometers to correctly shim the new carrier.

Go with the "lunch box" lockers, they slip in place of your
spiders, so you won't need to buy the thousands of dollars worth of
micrometers to correctly shim the new carrier.

When talking about replacing diff carriers, if you have to ask, it's too hard
for you...better to farm it out to a shop and have them do it right.

No-Slip per your suggestion. It seems to be the best "lunch box"
locker out there. I like that I can install it myself.. want to keep
my Jeep Project 100% me.
