Re: Dana 44 bearing questions
Hi Dan,
By mentioning press, must mean you're talking about the Dana 44 rear end, which will need a press to push the retaining ring back into place. The semi floater will feel loose, but there is no setup to it: http://www.----------.com/03TJrearWbearing.pdf God Bless America, ßill O|||||||O mailto:-------------------- George wrote: > > I say a site a while back (I think Bill may have posted a link to it) > the explained how to replace the bearings with out a press. Re: Dana 44 bearing questions
Yes, I am refering to the Dana 44 rear.
If I don't have a large hydraulic press, how would I put the new bearing and retaining ring back on the axle? -Dan L.W.(ßill) ------ III wrote: > Hi Dan, > By mentioning press, must mean you're talking about the Dana 44 rear > end, which will need a press to push the retaining ring back into place. > The semi floater will feel loose, but there is no setup to it: > http://www.----------.com/03TJrearWbearing.pdf > God Bless America, ßill O|||||||O > mailto:-------------------- > > George wrote: > >>I say a site a while back (I think Bill may have posted a link to it) >>the explained how to replace the bearings with out a press.
