Cruise dies after a couple of miles!

"93" Grand Cherokee Limited V8
After a couple of minutes/miles on the road, the cruise quits. Seems like
something may be breaking down with heat.
Any ideas?

Vac solenoid is going out or the hose has a leak. There is a TSB on it
but I don't have a copy here. There was also a recall IIRC for the V8 that
installed a vac valve since the V8 sometimes didn't have enough vac to keep
the cruise control working.

Pull and clean the connector first, just in case it's an electrical problem.

Doug hit the nail on the head. I had a similar problem on my Grand Cherokee
and it turned out to be the hose didn't seal properly..
