CJ7 Frame Needed
I'm looking for a CJ7 frame any year in Northern VA. I only need the rear
half about a foot forward of the wheel wells, so front end damage is not an issue. Rear suspension and axle with wheels is a plus. Thanks Scott 91YJ -- --------------------------------------------------------------------- "Are you still wasting your time with spam?... There is a solution!" Re: CJ7 Frame Needed
Did your frame crack at the rear spring perches too? Really common.
Don't know if you're interested in buying new or just want to cut costs. I think Quadratec sells 'em for about $1700; mandrel bent and powder coated ( http://www.quadratec.com/cgi-bin/sgi...04041713504840 ) .. Matkins also makes them with various options ( http://www.matkinsextreme.com/Jeeps/jeep%20prices.htm ) at a comparable price and boast better strength. I think 4Wheel Drive Hardware sells 'em too. I think there are divergent opinions about construction and mandrel bending as well as boxing and galvanizing (some say galvanizing isn't worth the extra cost but it couldn't hurt). IMHO, if I were working my Jeep, I wouldn't want a frame that's had a collision. It might look straight but could be off in back anyway. Don't really know if it was straightened just to sell it. Sounds crazy but you know there are people who'd yank it with their bumper just 'cause you said the rear needed to straight. Anyway, I'm just serving up food for thought that might've not been on your menu. o_o_o_o Best Regards, /| ,[_____], Jim, WP3JQ |¯¯¯L --O|||||||O- ()_)¯()_) ¯¯¯¯¯ )_) EM60qk 30.447439N 086.628959W "reconair" <reconair@staffnet.com> wrote in message news:1071fr2357c7obe@corp.supernews.com... > I'm looking for a CJ7 frame any year in Northern VA.
