CJ5 exhaust

i need some help finding parts for my cj5. i recently had the mufflers
replaced, now i need new pipes.
what i've got:
1975 cj 5 w/304. it's got edelbrock headers on it, if that makes a
difference. it's a dual exhaust, with the mufflers between the tires
on either side. the four pipes come off each side and join together
right before the muffer [no cats in 1975].
i'm not sure if these are called the header pipes or the exhaust pipes,
or if they're the same thing, but i can't find what i need online
without knowing what to call them [and no websites have pictures of the
parts i'm looking at].

i've got two pictures of the pipes if that'll give you a better idea:
http://www.onethirty.org/exhaust1.jpg
http://www.onethirty.org/exhaust2.jpg
you can see 3 of the 4 pipes coming off the block in pic 1, and
underneath where they join together in pic 2.

does anybody know where i can find replacements for these? i'm not
sure if they're even a stock part. i bought this beast as is 2 years
ago, and a lot of it was changed. i think it might even be a 1976
registered as a 1975 for emissions purposes. i'd like to find them
online. i've all but given up finding any parts locally.
any help would be appreciated. thanks.

Re: CJ5 exhaust

If you are talking about the rusty piece of steel inbetween the 4
pipes from the engine and the nice fresh bolts on your exhaust
parts, the correct term is "collector" The good news is that they
are available from quite a few sources. My local guy is
http://www.headersbyed.com/collecto.htm

The bad news is that these are a welded part of the headers and
are normally not replaceable. You can try to find someone that
will weld up rusty header pipes but anyone who has enough skill
to know how has learned the hard was that thin and rusty is very
bad news.

Time to spring for a new set of headers. :(

Cheers.

Re: CJ5 exhaust

If I had your problem, I would be visiting my local muffler shop to see what
they could put together for me.
