CJ5 Detachable Sway Bars - Possible to retrofit?
Hi All,
I am interested in getting an older CJ5 (1974 to 1975) but was told that the ones I am looking at are difficult to drive on the highway. Is it possible to install detachable sway bars? Also, approximately how much should I expect to spend for lockers with installation (lets say ARB air actuated for instance)? Thanks -Riles |

Because your axles are narrower than later Civilian Jeeps that came
with stock sway bars, I believe your best bet would be to search the bone yards for there regulator passenger cars, and weld their mounts to your Jeep. Just clamping the leaf springs together will stop the roll action, but limit the stock jeep articulation: http://www.----------.com/tjleafSideRamp.jpg God Bless America, ßill O|||||||O mailto:-------------------- Riles wrote: > > Hi All, > I am interested in getting an older CJ5 (1974 to 1975) but was told that the > ones I am looking at are difficult to drive on the highway.
