CJ3s

Did Mitsubishi make CJ3s ? For how long ?

I saw a (presumably) modified CJ3 with very wide axles and wheelarches with
a Mitsubishi stamp on the grille, on Koh Tao ( an island 70 km off the east
coast of Thailand). Don't know what engine it had in it, but it sounded
beefy.

There are several companies that were under license from Jeep to make
CJ's. There are 'new' CJ's still on the market. Mahindra in India for one.

Re: CJ3s

Yes, I've seen the Mahindra one - quality looks lousy. The Mitsubishi one
looked quite well made.
