Re: Charcoal canister question for an '89 YJ

One large line goes to the gas tank vent, one large line goes to the
intake manifold, usually with the PCV.

Depending on models, one more large line goes to the carb float bowl and
last but most important a small vacuum line goes to the top round purge
valve itself. This comes from the CTO valve on the intake manifold.

'Some' types, don't have the small vacuum line, they have instead the
purge line to the manifold going into the air filter snout.

Here is a link on one of them:

Charcoal canister question for an '89 YJ

Hey fellow Jeepers,

Does anyone know what hose goes to the bottom of the charcoal
canister, right below the canister filter? I have no hose connected
there, no free hoses to even use, and it isn't listed on the vacuum
diagram.. but there is a connection for a single hose there. The size
of the fitting suggests that the hose is a larger size. Thanks.
