CCV System
Is there a way to remove the EGR system so that there is not valve

You could just run the tube from the front into a container other than
the air filter box. I have seen and heard of that working fine for a while. You are going to get some smoke and fumes though. An old chunk of air filter on the top of the container would likely help some. You can close up the system or you will start blowing seals and leak oil all over the place. Just having a breather on top will get 'really' messy 'really' fast. Have you checked #6 for spark? Sometimes a bad wire and no spark will allow gunk to build up on the valves which can cause massive blow by like you describe. Get it sparking again for a bit, then do a decarbon spray job and it might just come back to life. Good luck. I took the oil cap off when it was running and when I hit the gas smoke

The Exhaust Gases Recycle valve is between the exhaust manifold and intake, not valve cover. I just plug inside the vacuum hose controlling it's diaphragm.
