Be careful folks

If your going to store gas/petrol, please don't store it
in unsafe locations.

Yea.. I bought gas the day before Katrina hit. Some 30+ gal, but
it's stored in the shed, not the garage around ignition sources.
And if you have the older gas pilot/open flame hot water heaters
please have a plumber install a stand. Just 1ft of elevation will
prevent most flash fires.

Gasoline stored in a garage may have caused a fire that critically injured
a man, destroyed a house and damaged another, said Oklahoma City fire
Battalion Chief Marc Woodard.
About 6:40 a.m. Sunday, firefighters responding to a call in the 3300 block
of SW 19 found a house engulfed in flames, he said.
The owner of the house -- whose name was not released today -- was the only
person injured. He was taken to Integris Baptist Medical Center with second-
degree burns covering about 60 percent of his body. His condition wasn't
immediately known.
Woodard said he didn't believe the fire was set intentionally. He said the
stored gasoline was likely what started the blaze.
"Apparently, he was trying to store gasoline," Woodard said. "It was a
pretty large amount, too. A neighbor told me he had a barrel or so."
Woodard said the victim may have been trying to save money by buying a
lot at a time.
"It's just not safe," he said. "It's a fire hazard." Woodard said the
blaze caught a neighboring house on fire, but the damage was limited to an
attic space there. The destroyed house was valued at $80,000.
