Buying a Wrangler

Hi, I am in the market for a 2000-2003 used Wrangler, my first Jeep.
What should I look out for? Where can I find what changed each year
for each trim level?

Thanks

Re: Buying a Wrangler

Three most important to me:

1) 4.0L I6 engine
2) 5 Speed transmission
3) Soft top with half doors, for some reason I can't stand the way a Wrangler
looks with full doors on, and the top off.

Everyone likes their Jeep a different way, if you couldn't tell.

You should look for the 6cyl engine, unless its going to be a city Jeep. Don't
be worried about milage on the 6cyl, they go forever.

Check

for trim differences.

I'll agree on all points above, but I've got to say if I was buying, I
would go for the full doors. Funny looking but there is something to be
said for rolling down windows. With the new plastic half doors, one has
the option of getting those for the nice days.

I have both half doors and full doors, they each have advantages.
