brake pedal - Cherokee Sport 2001
 

Seasons greetings all,
I have a 2001 Jeep Cherokee Sport with close to 70k on it.

I've notice a slight "click" when I pump down on the break pedal recently.

No noticeable difference in the brake handling - just a click when pressing
down on the brake pedal.

Any suggestions?

All I know is that when I step on the brake pedal all the way down - mid-way

Put your head down by the pedal and actuate it with your hand. Listen and
feel for a click from the switch.

Could be the switch is getting sticky....

I have heard of a few failures of the newer switches.

Like Billy Ray said, I would get my head right down there for a listen
and maybe have someone out back to see if the click and the lights
happen at the same time.

Better way of checking. try this at night.

Jump in the car.. when it clicks, do the lights come on at the exact same
time as the click? :P
