Best Source for TJ Combustion air

Hi
I'm planning on installing a conical K&N filter directly to the intake
pipe.
I plan on inseting it somewher between the filter air box and the throttle
body.
I can never remember do I want hot air or cold air? I'm pretty sure it's
cold.
Anyway, any ideas on the best location to set up the air filter. I'll just
plump in it form there.
My Thanks
Jimmy

Re: Best Source for TJ Combustion air

You want an air intake where the water can't get to it, and a filtration
system that doesn't pass the dust to scour your engine. Jeep have spent some
time thinking about these two points and you would be better to do
absolutely nothing.
