Best Manual for Jeep Repairs

Folks, I just purchased a 1959 CJ5 jeep and would like to get some
recommendations on best repair/maintenance manuals to purchase. I see
various manuals by a number of different companies.

Also if you have any preferred parts suppliers who you have had good
luck with, I'd like to hear that too.

Gordy

The best maual hands down is the factory service manual (FSM).
Reproductions are available from many sources, heres one-

http://www.thejeep.com/manual.html#TSMEARLY

For parts there are a number of good suppliers such as Walcks

www.walcks4wd.com/

Theres a wb site devoted to the early cj5s here-

http://www.earlycj5.com/

Lots of good advice available on the forums there

Have Fun,

H.

Re: Best Manual for Jeep Repairs

I had a chilton guide for a CJ. It was right about 90% of the time,
but when it was wrong, boy was it frustrating.
