After an Early AM Fender-bender,...
As near as I can see damage is minimal but part has been hard to
locate on-line today.
Vehicle: 1997 Green TJ Sahara
Part Needed : Left Front Fender Flare & Side Light. (Wiring looks
OK).
My Location: Northern VA.
I care more about the flare as side lites seem to be pretty
available.
Finding the OEM on-line has been a bear. Looks like an easy job if
I can find the part. Are those just screws or what holding it on?
MY Thanks in Advance,
Andrew

Andrew: It's a Jeep. You should look on this as not as a time for
"repair", but as an opportunity to enhance your Jeep. Think after market
flairs, or tube fenders. It will be hard to find a new flair that will
match your existing one as they fade and chalk up over time.
Build it, run it, break it, repeat.

Wise advise, but not as affordable to some as to others.
That of course is my problem but sometimes it's hard for me to
justify trying to trick out a 10 year old jeep that is basically
stock.
Like putting a fur stole on a 10.00 ----- (no offense to anyone).
Also, going after-market means two for the front and then what
about those scrapped up ones on the rear? I suppose you are
right to suggest that I should keep my options open.
Carparts.com doesn't help because it's a TJ Sahara which has
color-matched fender flares and most sites list TJ Wrangler only.
Anyway, I already tried them and they can't help.
Also (HHOK), a grungy old junkyard-salvaged L. front fender flare
green for a '97 TJ Wrangler Sahara would probably be the best match!

Perhaps you could find a plain TJ flare and paint it to match the others or
paint all four so they match. Lots of guys have had excellent luck with the
new plastic specific spray paints on the flares. Just a thought. I was
ready to try the paint on our TJ but then we sold it and bought the JK.
