Battery for '98 2.5
Well it's been below zero at night and my OEM battery is showing it's
age. What does everybody recommend for replacement? I can't afford an Optima but still want decent quality. What's the next best thing and what size for my 2.5? Rich M 98TJ |

Reason being if it fries I can find one of those places in almost every state I travel through. If your area gets real cold they make insulation wraps for the battery and even little battery heaters. But of course you need AC to plug them in. Either that or take the battery inside at night. :) -- -- DougW -- 93 ZJ 4.0 http://members.cox.net/wilsond HESCO Supercharger - 300W IASCA Stereo - Edelbrock IAS Shocks Gibson Exhaust - rear DCpower - custom gauge install - Stillen Rotors |

Re: Battery for '98 2.5
I usually go for one that has a good warranty of any brand.
My CJ7's leaf springs and the trails I run are death on batteries, I have even managed to crap out an Optima. I get less than a year normally on regular batteries and got 3 years out of an optima with a shitty warranty. At least the normal batteries still have 5-7 year warranties.
