Anybody dropped a 4.3 Vortec V6 & 4L60E in a Jeep?
 

Curious if anybody's put this engine/tranny in a Jeep and/or comments or
considerations. I'd like to keep my Dana 300. TIA.

Thanks Kevin. I just dropped him a line.
I'm getting tired of the I6, 258 and repairs to the engine and
transmission will get expensive. So, I'm trying to figure the best way to
go. I can get the Vortec/4L60E in great shape out of a GMC Jimmy for $650
or start with a Chevy 427 V8 block/heads for $200 and go from there piece by
piece. I know the Big Block V8 will be expensive but it's reeeaaallly
tempting.:)

I'm getting tired of the I6, 258 and repairs to the engine and
transmission will get expensive. So, I'm trying to figure the best way to
go. I can get the Vortec/4L60E in great shape out of a GMC Jimmy for $650
or start with a Chevy 427 V8 block/heads for $200 and go from there piece by
piece. I know the Big Block V8 will be expensive but it's reeeaaallly
tempting.:)

As long as you haven't bought an engine yet, go with the tried and
true Chevy 350.
