The original thread was hijacked, surprise surprise. I can't tell
who's posting legitimate content, who's a sock puppet, who's cutting
and pasting, and frankly I don't care. It is just proof of the need
for RAMJAW.org.

There seemed to be some concern by the sock puppets about censorship.
(forgive me if your concerned and not a sock puppet) Which seems
really funny because if I understand the sock puppets they want to
censor Bill. As I've said before, I am not the opinion police. I
don't give two hoots about what you post in the appropriate forum. If
you want to argue guns / no guns, republican / democrat, pick your hot
controversial topic in the campfire section knock yourself out. Go
ahead and argue leaf vs coil springs, straight vs v6 engines, or
automatic vs manual transmissions. I just don't care. Also there
will be days when I won't be able to even read the board. (Hey I have
a Jeep for a reason, there are times when the Internet and high
technology needs to be chucked. <lol>) The point is I don't see my
role to be the one that decides what gets talked about.

What will be removed? ----, Spam. There's not much point in allowing
what is going on here to simply move over to RAMJAW.org. And by what
is going on over here I mean the behavior that hijacked the first
thread. My experience with other forums is the members will call out
the bad apples themselves, and the forum becomes self-controlling.
If I don't live up to my words take me to task, call me out. (Full
disclosure on RAMJAW.org I have two names Jeep and ChiliPepperJeep.
They are not sock puppets because I've just told you the names I use.
Over time I doubt the Jeep name will be used much but it was created
by me and has posted at least once.)

It's late now. I will reply tomorrow night to any comments or
questions. Or to start a new thread if this one gets hijacked <lol>
To those that have joined RAMJAW.org make sure to invite your friends,
there is a critical mass needed to launch any lively forum. (plus you
get bragging rights in the future, "yeah I was there when this all
started.")

'This' is supposed to be one of those ' self-controlling' forums and

Certainly there would have to be some moderation on his part. I think
the difference is that you can ban offenders, unlike the usenet which is
open to all, kooks alike. There would be no instances of blathering
idiots, spambots, and sock puppets. You have to have a valid email
address to register. I think you'd be an asset if you care to give it a
shot. I hope it takes off.
