All gauges go dead when air bag light comes on!
 

98 TJ air bag light comes on, gauges ALL drop to zero, no other effects, than
everything comes back to normal.

Any ideas?

Ya, that's my guess too.... but it's odd that everything goes back to
normal when the airbag light goes out. Usually, everything stays dead.
