Strangely enough, this actually happened to a friend of
mine, in daylight. He saw the deer near the road and
stopped, and the deer (a buck with an impressive rack) ran
at high speed into the side of the front fender, rolled
across the hood, fell off the other side, got up and took
off. No apparent damage to the deer (at least, he couldn't
find it or any sign of blood), but the damage to the car was
almost $2k. (No airbag deployment.) Deer seem to be about as
stupid as horses.

if abs is on the vehicle it works when it needs to and that includes 4 wheel
drive all modes and yes it can wok under 10 mph's

if abs is on the vehicle it works when it needs to and that includes 4 wheel
drive all modes and yes it can wok under 10 mph's

But in the case of this particular Sunfire, the article states the deer's
rear legs made contact with the vehicle first. I doubt he backed into it
hard enough to deploy the airbags!
