advice on leaky pinion

I have a TJ w/ 4" pro comp lift, a SYE kit, and a cv driveshaft.
I didn't have the sye kit & cv driveshaft put on until almost a month
after the lift was put on, so I was driving along with a bad vibration
at 35 and 50 mph, for almost a month. I had the gears done, along with
the SYE kit and cv driveshaft at a 4wheel parts place here in town and
I have a couple questions...

My pinion seal is leaking now and I've been reading all I can find on
the subject here. The pro comp kit came with 1 inch spacers for the
transfer case, and they are on there now. When they put on my SYE
kit and cv driveshaft they left the spacers on there, so it's still
dropped an inch. I thought they could get rid of them with that? Also,
if they did the gear change, would the pinion seals and all that stuff
be replaced as well?

I know I had a vibration after all that work, around 70mph, but it was
slight, and I let it go. Could that vibration now have gotten so bad as
to cause this? I'm taking it to a drivetrain specialist tomorrow but
wanted to find out anything else I could before I go in case it's
something they haven't messed with before.

I'm wanting the spacers gone and the transfer case in it's original spot.
And I don't want vibration at any speed... Am I going to need a new/different
driveshaft? I don't remember what the original looked like but I am going
to take a pic of this one, if anyone wants to look at it I can send ya the
pic. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Troy,
Take it back to the shop. Don't volunteer any information. And
they'll reset the pinion bearings and replace the seal in less than ten
minutes.

If the pinion's properly aligned, it should not need the spacers.

Also, if they did the gear change, would the pinion seals and all that stuff
be replaced as well?>

Yes, take it back and have them fix it.

Something else that comes to mind...
Can the alignment have been messed up by removing the transfer case plate
and not putting it back exactly as it was? I had a muffler put on and
they had to remove the plate and hold up the transfer case with a stand.

I'm gonna go dig up my paperwork/receipts and everything and call them
in the morning.

Does anyone out there have a 4 inch lift w the sye kit and are free from
vibrations totally?
