Very likely you'll have to replace the entire compressor and
receiver/drier but check with a good shop to be sure. I had to do that
over the years on two different cars, it's not an easy on the wallet
fix.

I'm right there with you, XS11E. I sure hope it doesn't work out that way.
I installed the new clutch this evening. Couldn't have done it without
the two extra hands of my son. That snap ring on the coil field is deep.
We found no leakage of lubricant around the seal, and everything seems
to be working fine.
