98 TJ header cracked

Helped a bud yesterday get his 98 TJ 4.0 ready for the season. He mentioned
he thought he had an exhaust leak, so I took a look. Did he ever! The
headers are cracked all the way around on one of the tubes right where the
final two go into one. Is this a 'normal' occurrence? Should we look for a
sinister cause, i.e. bad motor mounts or the like? Has anyone dealt with
this? Obviously, the header has to be replaced, any suggestions? What's it
going run him? Don't think we're going take this one on in the backyard.

TIA,
Shamus in CO
Reply to group, execrable spammers!

BTW We HercuLined the entire inside of the tub. Man, that stuff makes it
look bad a$$!

Other will give you more info...but headers seem to be one of those things
that is "expected" to go!

How much of a pain was the herculiner. Gotta pretty well take EVERYTHING
out eh?!
Cost?
