'98 Jeep Cherokee Questions/Passenger (RH) Mirror

We recently purchased our first Jeep, a '98 Cherokee. Oddly, the passenger
side mirror is not convex (objects in mirror are closer than they appear) like
most passenger side mirrors. Because of this, it's almost unusable. I can't
get a person's head who is standing next to the car to fit into the view, much
less several lanes of traffic. Is this standard equipment, or is this
something someone probably did aftermarket when they clipped a pole with the
original mirror?

Assuming this isn't original, does anyone have a part number for a black,
powered, RH mirror for a '98 Cherokee? I've been checking eBay, but haven't
seen anything there. I did find a possible aftermarket dealer,
www.4wheelerssupply.com, but I want to make sure I get the right one. They
have a "powered" and a "powered remote", and I have no idea what the difference
is.

Next question :) Has anyone ever experienced a clicking sound in the steering
when making a tight turn without a lot of movement, such as moving into a
parking spot?

Finally, after I turn the Jeep off, I can hear a grinding, crunching (maybe
gurgling) sound in the rear of the vehicle. The only information on this that
I've been able to find so far is that it may be the fuel pump, and that it's
actually normal on some models. Any ideas?

Thanks a bunch for any responses!!

I also have a '98 XJ and hear the same noise in the rear. I have decided
that's its from the fuel guage sending unit.
