98' Cherokee interior lights stay on
Last night my interior lights decided they won't go out. I ended up
removing the dome light and the rear light just so I could drive. I take the fuse out when I park to keep the floor lights off but need to put it back to drive so I have power to my instrument panel. Any ideas what needs to be done? TIA Ryan |

On some cars the headlight switch also turns down the dash lights
and turns on the dome light. God Bless America, ßill O|||||||O mailto:-------------------- http://www.----------.com/ Ryan wrote: > > Last night my interior lights decided they won't go out. Re: 98' Cherokee interior lights stay on
Hi Dave,
Fords have always used the light switch to operate the dome light, where GM would used a remote switch on the door jam or the light it's self, at least through the fifties. Making it easy to spot a new Ford driver, driving around with the inside light on, or the bed light on a pickup. The only way Ive discovered is to open it and trip the latch. then I > just have to remember to open the latch before I slam it down! Stick in a switch between the ground line that turns the light on and the reed switch in the latch. |
