I have the 4.0 I6 with 56k miles. Engine burns or leaks no oil. At
start up and driving under acceleration oil pressure gauge reads 40.
When I come to a stop and at idle pressure drops to 10. Then back
under acceleration it jumps to 40. Could this be a bad oil pump,
clogged pump, or more serious issues? TIA, Clay

Actually, it's a little low. not bad though
but a little higer under acceleration would be
better.

Spec:
Idle (600 RPM) 13psi
(1600 RPM) 37-75psi
That could be just dirty connections on the sensor.
It's down by the oil filter, just remove, clean, and
replace the connector.
56K is a little low for having bearing wear or a wearing
pump. What oil are you running?

More than likely if there's an issue it's with the sender. You can get a
mechanical gauge to hook up to your sender port and check the pressure that
way.
