95 Jeep Cherokee broken Spedo and Gas Guage

Hello,

Please help. I have a 95 Cherokee. The Speedometer, and Gas Gauge began
operating extremely erratically. Now neither work at all, not even a budge.
The odometer also does not turn. Any ideas? Please help!

Best regards,

RG

I've just recently gotten into cherokees but can tell you my 96 xj has a
electric speedo. Also my VW experience tells me that there's a voltae regulator
that dropps 12volts to a lower value mounted on the rear of the instrument
panel and it's socket/solder joints go bad. The fix is to resolder the
regulator. However I've read that jeeps have a connector problem to the
instrument console so try that first.
