95 Cherokee broken Spedo and Gas Guage, STILL, PLEASE HELP!!

Hello All,

Thanks for the earlier replies. Here is what we have done so far:

Replaced the three-wire 'speed-sensor' unit on the side of the Automatic
Transmission.

Removed and re-soldered the connector attached to the flexible circuit card
behind the dash.

Still, neither the Speedo/odo or gas gauge is working.

One observation, there are four thin leads that protrude from the un-seeable
side of the flexible circuit card. Is there a component like a voltage
regulator or such that is behind there? If so, is that a part that I can
replace? I did re-solder the four leads.

Please help!

Best regards,

RG

Hello All,

PROBLEM SOLVED! The Gauges needed a ground! I connected a wire from the
back of the instrument/gauge assembly from the 'LG' screw on the foil CB. I
ran the other end of the wire to the chassis. Problem fixed!

Best regards,

RG
