94YJ 2.5L - water pump question

Anywhere besides the dealer I can get the tube that screws into the
passenger side of the pump that connects to the hose connecting to the
heater core? Mine developed a small hole during disassembly. ;-) Online
sources are okay if you know of one. The ones I checked don't seem to stock
it.

Thanks,

Re: 94YJ 2.5L - water pump question

Is it just a threaded fitting? If so most parts stores should have or be
able to get it.

Re: 94YJ 2.5L - water pump question

That is a plumbing fitting with 'pipe threads' on it. You could get the
fitting at a hardware store in copper or brass, but you would need a
piece of copper pipe to solder in for a hose nipple, the threads are
also used in black pipe like for hot water heating. You can get nipples
for that that are threaded on both ends, so you just stick the hose on
past the end threads.

Oh, also maybe you could just use solder to repair yours?

Auto Zone has those hose nipples on that rack with all the carded
small parts that say HELP! on the card.
I work at a GM dealer and if we need them, we order them from either
NAPA or O'Rielley's.
