'93 XJ no spark

Hey all,
My wife's '93 XJ was running fine Saturday afternoon when I parked it.
Sunday morning I came out and tried to start it and no go.
It cranks over fine, has power to the coil when cranking, the fuel
pump runs, but no spark.
My guess is either the stator in the distributor, or the crank
position sensor.
I'm pretty good on Chevy's since I've worked for them for the last 14
years, but these Jeeps are a different proposition.
Anyone got any input?

Re: '93 XJ no spark

I also have a 93 XJ. The same thing happened to me, I changed my Dist cap
and rotor, plugs and wires(if needed) and it took care of the prob. Usually
the crank sensor will not keep the vehicle from starting, but it will
provide hesitation driving and will cut off the engine if it gets to hot at
times. Once it cools, it will let the engine start then the same process
again... A real pain in the ass. The Autozone in Jax, Fl has them in stock
for 50.00. It is only 2 bolts, the trick is reaching them...
