'91' XJ: disconnecting fan relay a good idea?
I've got problems w/the anti-theft BS in my Cherokeet. It's throwing false
alarms. It's funny how it only goes off at 3:00 a.m. So far I haven't caught anyone breaking into the vehicle (which is parked in the street). My neighbors won't put up with it much longer so I'm going to yank the horn relay. Aside from making the horn non-operational this shouldn't cause any problems right? -- there is no .sig |

I was having similar troubles and found that loose or corroded cables were leading to a current drain (caused by dew I guess) would set the thing off. After a through cleaning and tightening, it stopped. 2 years now, and the only time the alarm went off was when some bastards broke the rear quarter window. Regards, DAve |

Another thing to check is the sensors at each point, doors, hood and so on.
Sometimes a bad sensor will cause false alarms. -- Kate 2O|||||||O5 Liberty "DaveW" <spsfnospamfan@verizon.net> wrote in message news:bRLXe.9769$%i1.8799@trnddc09... : Doug wrote: : > I've got problems w/the anti-theft BS in my Cherokeet.
