'88 XJ won't start

It turns over, but intermittently won't start. I know the XJ's are
notorius for the CPS going bad... can someone please tell me where it
is actually located?

Thanks!

While your hands are dirty clean the ground strap that runs from the back of
the head to the firewall. The CPS is your most likely culprit.

Re: '88 XJ won't start

Besides the ground strap going ratty, the connection on the TPS can just
need a clean too. When it goes bad I get no starts and strange revs
when it does start. When the CPS quits it usually causes stalls.
