6bolt warn hubs..

I have a 76cj5 with the 6bolt locking hubs made by Warn. I am looking to
replace only one spring inside it if i can find it. The spring is sort of
like a circular acordian spring, at least thats my best description. I
checked Advance Auto Parts and i think they just didnt know what i needed.

Any body know a good place to replace these springs?

thanks!

Steve

Advance Auto doesn't know! Who would believe that!!

My father had a Chevy pickup with a 350 I rebuilt in 1985 or
thereabouts. As per the Chevy power Manual and the Monroe book-that
would be one Tom Monroe as I recall, not the late actress-I used the
adapter and the earlier center bolt filter housing that was as used on
the earlier engines. That way the filter cartridge was cheaper plus you
could easily see if metal shards were present without cutting the
filter can up. So he went in there (a couple of years ago) and
explained what he wanted. They REFUSED TO TELL HIM WHAT PART HE NEEDED
because "it's the wrong part". Of course the GM Stealer doesn't stock
that filter either.

Then there was the clerk that got exceptionally ignorant when I tried
to explain that you CAN NOT use a 45 degree flare tool with AN
fittings. You WILL crack the tubing.

Advance Auto Parts is a boil on the scrotum of America. They suck. The
ones around here were Western Auto, and they were halfway decent most
of the time.

Good luck! If the hubs are old enough, you might be better off getting a
new set though.

they were Warn's anyway.

premium hubs=lifetime waranty.
