My 89 Cherokee 4.0 has over 312,000K and running strong ... great engine!

grunt, like a diesel in some ways. It performs very well on the

power plant for an off-road vehicle. On top of all that, the fuel
economy is almost as good that obtained on almost any "equivalent"
screaming V6.
