I wouldn't trust Daimler to back their warranties either. But,
according to Pennzoil salesman: Don Johnson, "Synchromesh fluid was
developed for use in the NV (New Venture) 3500":

Yes, the GM is the same stuff in a GM bottle. The Pennzoil is the only
aftermarket stuff available as of now.

The local dealer is charging over 10 dollars a quart for the Mopar Manual
Transmission Lubricant. Forty-six dollars and some change to do lub
replacement.
