2000 Jeep Wrangler Emergency Brake Question
 

I pull my emergency brake handle all the way back and it does not engage the
brakes enough to hold the vehicle from moving when parked in neutral on a
grade. Is this not engaging the brakes because I have worn my brakes to the
point that there is not enough 'shoe' to press against the brake drum? How
do I adjust this emergency brake?

More than likely you need new brake shoes, and the adjusters have
run their course. Take the drums off and inspect, you may find one of
the stars has stopped turning and let the shoes wear out of adjustment.

any rate don't be tempted to take up the slack in your emergency cables,
you'll throw everything out of whack.
