2000 Cherokee Manual Transission Fluid
 

I have a 2.5L 2WD Cherokee with manual tranny. I am changing the
fluid. The dealer gets $21.95 (p/n 4897622AA) per quart which is
heart wrenching but acceptible if I knew how much I need. The dealer
doesn't know. My manual doesn't say. My Haynes manual says 7.2
pints. I have already installed 8 pints (4 quarts) with no overflow.
Anybody know how many more quarts I need and/or if there is an
aftermarket substitute???
