I've seen web pictures of a flap cut above the unit. I'm sure someone here
had the page or the measurements. Re: 2000 Cherokee Fule Filter
if it has a replaceable fuel filter it is grey and suits infront of the gas tank
near the left upper shock mount and is attached to the underbody by 2 screws . if you don't see it there then it's in the gas tank and is a 100k service item jb wrote: > tom@rockauto.com wrote: > > The 2000 Cherokee 4.0 L and 2.5 L has "strainers" at the fuel pump. > > Here is a photo of the fuel pump and strainers: > > http://www.rockauto.com/ref/Carter/D....PI.P74186.jpg > > > > In the late '90s these strainers at the fuel pump rather than a stand > > alone fuel filter became common for many vehicles. Re: 2000 Cherokee Fule Filter
Tank removal isn't as bad a job as it seems, at least on my TJ...I've had it
out a couple of times for various reasons, but not to replace the filter yet. It's easier when the tank is close to empty though, and when using a floor jack to lower it.
