2 inch seat Lift in my 2003 TJ
Does anyone know what thread and length bolts I would use to lift my darn
seats? It appears they used 3 of one size and one (seat belt) of another. I have a couple chunks of 6061 aluminum billet that would fit perfectly (2 inch). |

Re: 2 inch seat Lift in my 2003 TJ
I lifted the driver's seat on my '02 TJ. I'm 6' tall and it was too low for
me. I understand that the '03 and '04 are even lower. Why Jeep designs the seats so ridiculously low is beyond me. My '02 also had two different sizes. Three of one size and the right rear is a larger diameter size. I just removed them and took them to my local hardware store and matched up the threads. I used oversize nuts and some washers between the seat frame and the floor to raise the seat up about 1". You will probably need to raise your '03 even more. There is a guy that makes seat lifts, but I hate to spend that much money on
something I can do myself. "mabar" <mabar@NOSPAMgbronline.com> wrote in message news:qZadnZfoAt9Cvi2iRVn-sA@gbronline.com... > I lifted the driver's seat on my '02 TJ.
