front transmision seal is leaking. yuo have to pull the tranny or engine and replace the front seal. easy to fix,but hard to get too. john "James Tinkess" <jamest@sympatico.ca> wrote in message news:40D86738.3000003@sympatico.ca... > Its not the transmission pan or filter, its bone dry ( i had them done ) > but where the tranny mates with the engine, something is leaking, its > tranny oil not engine oil. > > Any else had this? > > thx, > james |

The dealer is replacing the rear main bearing, they never seem to find
the drips i do. What is the "offical" name of the trans seal - Just Front Transmission Seal. The dealer did say they would put some dye in my trans then take a look later. thx, james johnny wrote: > sure, its a common thing. > front transmision seal is leaking. > yuo have to pull the tranny or engine and replace the front seal. easy to > fix,but hard to get too. > john > > > "James Tinkess" <jamest@sympatico.ca> wrote in message > news:40D86738.3000003@sympatico.ca... > >>Its not the transmission pan or filter, its bone dry ( i had them done ) >> but where the tranny mates with the engine, something is leaking, its >>tranny oil not engine oil. >> >>Any else had this? >> >>thx, >>james > > > |
