1991 YJ Safari edition?

What was the difference in the Safari vs Sahara editions of the YJ?
Any links (Bill) describing special editions?

No Idea, Might run their VINs through:
http://www-5.jeep.com/wccsapp/univer...ull&category=U
And request a copy of the build order, and see what the ones you are
looking at have.

Re: 1991 YJ Safari edition?

Hi Bill,

I sent a request to the link, thanks. Do you remember if they made a Safari
edition in '91? Story is, my son bought a 91 on eBay... it was described as
a Safari, yet had a Sahara spare tire cover (which I know could be a dime a
dozen), but the emblem on the side looks like maybe a "Sahara". He is to
pick it up (if as described) this Saturday, just trying to do all my
homework.

Re: 1991 YJ Safari edition?

there is no SAFARI edition.. local dealers could have added a sticker
package like the "BIGFOOT" editions and there are "RENEGADE" tj's floating
around but they were done from the dealer not the manufacture

Safari is a GM trademark (in the USA anyway) that has at least been used in
Chevys, GMCs and Pontiacs. I learned to drive in a Pontiac Safari station
wagon, nicknamed The Tank.
