1"BL with T case drop

Hi All

I'm close to installing a 1" daystar body lift on my 91 yj

I have a RE 2.5 Ed lift and T case drop on the rig
Has anyone installed a 1" body lift with a t-case drop?

If so did you have any shifting issues? I really do not want to cut my
floor up for this and may wait until I go SYE to install the BL

I have not gone SYE yet as an 8.8 may be on my future ( next year if I
get the dough) and am confused if I go SYE now will I need a new rear
driveshaft when I go 8.8.

Go ahead and install the Slip Yoke Eliminator:
http://7slotgrille.com/tech/sye2/index.html Every small town at least
in Kalifornia has a machine shop that will cut or lengthen the tube and
re-balance.

Re: 1"BL with T case drop

The tube may not be the issue, the 8.8 has a flange end instead of a yoke
end excessive offset. Driveshaft manufacturers may have a more appropriate
set-up for the D35 to 8.8 YJ conversion. It's be worth a few phone calls
rather than buying 2 SY driveshafts.

Re: 1"BL with T case drop

Thanks for the input Bill and Brian
Create SYE link Bill!-You mention every small town in Kali I live in
NYC and
cannot find anybody to do anything on my rig. Will need to travel away
from the city to get any non service manual work done

I'll look call Tom Woods before buying the SYE and shaft check if I can
have it adapted when I upgrade to 8.8
